Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"excellence services and foods Not wait to long foods and drinks ( free hot/cold green tea ) the meal is ready 10-15 minutes ( I ordered Japanese fish is testing very well )"
"The lunch set comes with lotus root, soup, steamed egg, and well-grilled saba fish, perfectly paired with multigrain rice (which you can get refilled). If you're looking for a reasonably priced meal with good service standards, this place is worth a try."
"I am an Ooto-ya fan and visited them several times in Japan. The taste is not exactly the same, but I guess okay. If you want to have Japanese noodle like Udon or Soba, I recommend Ooto-ya rather than other Thai franchise restaurants. Don't visit the noodle shop nextdoor, but here! However, this time I had a curry rice with fried pork (ton katsu). Cuz curry rice never betrays my expectation..!"
"The food was average but a good portion. The staff was attentive and polite. No need to book, walks in are fine. It is inside of a food court area. The atmosphere is loud. The free hot/cold green tea is nice."
"I’m a sushi fan and not udon fan, so I won’t review on what I don’t like. My friend told me this japanese restaurant is very standardized and sanitary reliables. Thailand serving portion is very small (Asian size) is to be expected. Hot pot is very nice and recommended."
"A classic japanese resto chain. They offer many items but one of the favorite is the grilled fish. Most items are sold ala carte or set. Also try out their sukiyaki (beef or pork), totally delicious. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, they also offer mini donburi. And the hokkaido pumpkin croquette is a must have."
"Salmon was very fresh and good quality. Noice overall."
"The best place for homecook Japanese food. My favorite is hot udon with Wakame seaweed. Ootoya's udon is the best because it's so soft yet still sticky. Menus and taste are almost identical to original branch in Japan. Enjoy 10% discount paying with your JCB credit card."
